This restaurant is one of the best in the city. Since it first opened in London in 2002, others Zumas have popped up, and there are now ten worldwide.
Here, as elsewhere, the room is extremely elegant, with pale green armchairs in which you are served delicious and extremely original Japanese cuisine. Two of the chef's signature dishes are the gindara no saikyo miso yaki, (marinated cod), and the karami in zuke sauce (a tender piece of spicy beef topped with sesame seeds, red hot pepper and sweet soy sauce). The brunch comes with unlimited Champagne. The only downside is the noise.
Ask to be seated on the lovely terrace by the river. And make sure you're well dressed-otherwise, you won't get a seat anywhere.
