Whether you are a producer, filmmaker, or simple movie buff, you cannot miss this festival, which is one of the largest in the world. It brings together all Asian cinemas, mainly those from Taiwan and Japan, but also from Thailand and South Korea, which allows Western distributors to come and do their shopping in Kowloon and discover the small wonders that will delight their audiences. This ambitious festival also has the knack of selecting films that are often awarded, and so recognised in other events. This proves that Chinese moviegoers have flair! This year, in addition to the official programme, Shakespeare is being honoured with three different versions of Macbeth, while a tribute is also being paid to the legendary Bruce Lee.
