Located on the banks of the Seine River, the Polpo barge welcomes you with a Laura Gonzalez designed interior, with dozens of plants and clear furniture, showcasing rattan, linen, rope and weaved straw materials. Just sit and wait for a cocktail at the bar, a lunch on the terrace or a Sunday brunch. Coming right up!
Choose between a sea bream ceviche with lime, marinated salmon with citrus fruits and a platter of seafood for starters, you won't be disappointed. For main, it will be tough to pick a favourite between the octopus linguine and tomato confit, mussels with chorizo, beef carpaccio and hake loin à l'espagnol. For dessert, give in to the floating island with salted caramel and pecan nut, or the waffle with red fruits purée. If you're looking for a more festive atmosphere, go there on Friday night. DJ sets will rock the house from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Marine lunch on Diana's lake
Head for Aléria, 45 miles from Bastia, where the Aux Coquillages de Diana barge restaurant softly oscillates on the lake. The latter is considered to be Corsica's deepest (36 feet) and among the largest (570 hectares). It is also crawling with shells and fish that will actually end up in your dish! A 100-feet long footbridge covered in flowers will take you to the wooden pontoon where you'll find a seat, among the tables of the floating restaurant.
The coastline spreads over 7 miles, offered to your unobstructed pleasure as freshly caught shells are being prepared in the kitchen. For starters, oysters will make your mouth water with delight, unless you'd opt for the octopus salad. As for main course, take a pick among fried smelt, mussels, fish a la plancha and king prawn pasta. A true feast, fresh from the sea!

Sunday meeting at Bateau-Lavoir
Float on the Erdre River onboard the Bateau-Lavoir! Just like in the open-air dance halls of yesteryears, you can come for lunch, brunch, dinner or simply to have a drink. Each week, the restaurant offers a unique menu. Could be tuna ceviche with coriander or lobster from Brittany... All dishes are prepared with fresh and seasonal produce, all the while favouring local markets.
On Sunday, bring your own groceries from the market. For one drink ordered at the bar, bread, butter and various other condiments will be served. And no chance to get bored here! At 4:30 p.m., it is time to boogie. Bands play live music for all tastes: French pop, salsa or swing... Bateau-Lavoir also houses exhibitions, cabaret shows and meetings with passionate wine producers too happy to share with you the secrets of their craft.

Excellence by way of gastronomy at Bistrot Alexandre III
In Paris, you'll find the banks of the Seine, barge boats, the Alexander III Bridge and the eponymous bistro: a setting a pure luxury for a romantic date in the City of Lights. The modern, subtle and elegant decoration favouring choice materials (zinc roof, tin metal counter, ginger wooden floors, metal bar stools and chairs...) was made to order.
For pre-dinner, you have to try the cheese and deli meat assortment, meant to be shared and enjoyed along a glass of wine carefully selected by former Taillevent sommelier Jean-Christophe Piquet. For main, go for the coley and mashed potatoes or the Milanese-syle veal escalope – supplied exclusively by Hugo Desnoyer for meat of utmost quality – served with eggplant caviar and sweet and sour sauce. To top it all, end this gourmet meal with the pastries of the day and a deliciously scented cup of tea.

Quai Ouest's industrial side
Floating on the Seine, the Quai Ouest barge boat faces the Bois de Boulogne. The industrial style decoration showcases large picture windows, both intimate and very large tables, leather sofas and strings of lights spread out here and there to give out a sense of the golden age of open-air dance halls. You could have lunch, brunch or dinner in this woody, metallic restaurant covered with a huge glass roof.
Chefs Jérémy Mathieu and Abdelkader Ouachani base the menu on what fresh seasonal produce they are supplied. There is actually a lot to choose from: beef carpaccio in pesto, smoked herring tartare or cold tomato soup and basil sherbet for starters, butcher's cut, squid salad, cod loin à la plancha or homemade burger & fries for main course, all served to you like royalty. Do not leave before trying the pear and salted caramel clafoutis, the raspberry-pistachio millefeuille or the pie of the day!
